V-Control Software
V-Control is a process control platform that is developed as a ‘one common-platform’ solution for bioreactors from Discovery up to Production. The seamless technology transfer and scalable data transfer result in optimal bioprocess with shorter lead times and lower development costs.
Applikon Biotechnology and Emerson Automation Solutions have taken these developments to the next level by introducing V-Control.
To overcome the scale-up challenges and to improve the product life cycle management, Applikon Biotechnology and Emerson Automation Solutions developed V-Control to decrease investment costs and to reduce the time-to-market. V-Control combines scalable bioreactors from 250 mL up to 6000 L with DeltaVTM automation software as the sole solution from Discovery up to Production for process control and data integration.
V-Control is developed by Applikon and Emerson and is combining knowledge and experience of both companies into the scalable DeltaVTM solution for bioreactors.
V-Control comes in different hardware versions:
- V-Control for R&D
- V-Control for Pilot & Production
The V-Control R&D version is optimized for bioprocessing and will combine DeltaV DiscoveryTM with Applikon’s scalable laboratory bioreactors ranging from 250 mL up to 20 L.
V-Control for Pilot & Production combines Emerson’s PK Controller with Applikons turn-key single-use and stainless steel solutions from pilot up to production scale and can be used as powerful stand-alone solutions with links to ERP, MES and batch reporting software tools or as fully integrated process control solutions.
